Work :: Manufacturing

My work is made with the digital-hand. Beginning as a freehand sketch of an idea, with immediate considerations of how the thing will be made and how it will stand. The prototype includes 3D modeling and printing. Once a desirable form is achieved the scale becomes full size and fabrication begins - CNC cutting and machining of parts that are welded, with surfaces resolved, then final assembly of the modular forms with mechanical fasteners or assembly by hand.
